Yesterday, our team successfully conducted training sessions on comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for 20 young mothers aged 15-24 years. The topics covered included sexual and reproductive health, family planning, infection prevention and control, and Adolescent Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (AYSRHR). The objective of these sessions was to ensure that young mothers are well-informed about their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and equipped with the skills to mobilize their peers to raise awareness about sexual and reproductive health and rights. The training is ongoing and we aim to reach an additional 40 young mothers in the coming days. Our community dialogue is making significant strides. Just yesterday, we engaged with community leaders, young mothers, and key decision-makers in Njau Jaha and Wellingara Buba villages. Together, we addressed the pressing challenges surrounding sexual and reproductive health and rights for young adolescents and mothers, tackled HIV-related stigma, and highlighted the crucial need for comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services tailored for our youth and young mothers.
